DEFINITIONS – Website Ads

Impressions: Total number of times your ad is delivered / displayed on screen

Clicks: Total number of times your ad was clicked

CTR: Percentage of clicks compares to impressions

Ad size: The specifications (in pixels) for the creative displayed for that campaign. In some cases, a single campaign may have more than one ad unit (ex. 728×90 for desktop and 300×50 for mobile)

 

DEFINITIONS – Email Marketing

Total Sent: Total number of delivered emails, not including bounced or undelivered emails

Total Opens: Total (gross) number of times the email was opened

Open Rate: Percentage of opens compared to total sent

Unique Opens: Number of unique individuals that opened the email

Unique Open Rate: Percentage of unique individuals that opened the email compared to total sent

Total Ad Clicks: Total (gross) number of clicks on your advertising link(s)

Unique Ad Clicks: Number of unique individuals that clicked on your advertising link(s)

Ad CTR: Percentage of Total Ad Clicks compared to Total Opens

LEADS

The “Weekly Leads Report” includes the names of the individuals who clicked on the advertising links, including all of the demographic information we have on that recipient. In accordance with the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), leads do not include email addresses.

Leads are included for the following email marketing products:

  • Enews: Leaderboard 1 (LB1)

  • Enews: Sponsored Spotlight (SS)

  • eBlast, eConnect (eCON)

  • Digital Edition Sponsor (DE Sponsor)

 

FAQs

1.  Is the data in the attached spreadsheets the same as the data in the email?

  • Yes, the attached spreadsheets show the same data as the tables in the email.

2. Why does the # of Unique Clicks in some instances not exactly match the # of leads listed below?

  • The Detail Leads Report may list an individual more than once if they clicked on more than one link. You can see which link(s) they clicked on in the “Link URL” column.

  • In some cases, clicks from the Annex Business Media team and/or our vendors may register as Unique Clicks but are not included in your leads list.

3. Why does my report not show data under the “Detail Leads Report”?

  • Leads are not shared all products. Example, Leaderboards 2-4 and all Big Boxes do not include leads. The other possibility is that your advertising link did not generate any clicks, which would appear as “0 Unique Clicks” in the Email Marketing Overview Report

4.  Is the data in the attached spreadsheets the same as the data in the email?

  • Yes, the attached spreadsheets show the same data as the tables in the email.
